Project Report | Dec 19, 2011
Merry Xmas from NAF

By Andrew Martin Niwagaba | Executive Director (NAF)

Greetings to all our friends, Donors and well wishers. It has been a fantastic year of good health at NAF given that none of the girls registered any major illness and am so excited that they all got to perform well in their academic work and have been cleared to join the next classes respectively at the end of January, 2012. The girls in boarding school are home and the younger ones have been taken to families back in their respective villages for a change. We are constantly in touch with them and they are all looking forward to Christmas. Christmas is a very big day in Uganda, well, i think world over but Christmas here is characterised by going to church and putting on new clothes and eating lots of meat and rice, well some families do not get that throughout the year and celebrate Christmas with an "expensive meal" and a new dress/cloth. I am under pressure to buy the girls clothes and shoes for XMAS especially the younger ones, rice and meat for the day, and yet what seems to worry me most is not XMAS but their next term's school dues and school shopping. I used to enjoy XMAS as a kid because of the small little things that my mother did for us so i promise i will be shopping some new dresses in the next few days before XMAS day.

We want to thanks our donors, friends and well wishers for the sacrifices they make to ensure that our project is alive. Thank you so much for the donations both in cash and kind and may the good Lord continue to Bless and reward you. We, however, continue to request for your support as we enter into another year. The challenge is still on and everything that you give  is of great importance and is well appreciated. Thank you always.

I have attached some of the reports and will be attaching the remaining one in the days to come. Feel free to look at them and guide us where necessary. I will also be attaching the other photos of the other girls. I am sorry it has taken sometime but it is because the camera man was/is away and since we had not paid for the Photos, we could not have them before he left.

Kateta, the deaf and dumb young girl SHOULD be in school next year. She needs special education, her requirements are more than those for the others and well, i am praying that she gets a personal sponsor so that we are sure that she is in school throughout. If anyone out their can offer the special need, we will be more than grateful. She is not supposed to be in the village Monday to Sunday, she is supposed to be in a special needs school building her future. We continue to request for your support.

Next term opens around January end and early February 2012. It will be business as usual as regards the school goers.

I want to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a Happy 2012. I also want to once again thank you all for the support you have rendered to us throughout 2011 and we at NAF look forward to continue with you in the struggle.

God's Blessings to you all.
