We are truly excited to share with you that with TANF, our sponsored kids are Back to School!
As of October 2017, we have managed to get 22 new children back to school!
We have manage to get 12 new children to school due to your kind and continues supports for TANF.
Other 10 children from our waiting list (of 500 kids in total) were awarded with TANF’s education and healthcare sponsorship, due to your team’s ability to plan ahead to purchase learning materials before school resumes. From our research, we have discovered that over 50% of the 500 children on our waiting list are not in school due to lack of learning materials. So we acted on it.
We have distributed all the necessary leaning materials for all new and already enrolled children at the first school day, being a huge success. These materials are going to help the kids for the next 3-4 months, guiding their learning journey. Their progress will be thoroughly supported and evaluated, ensuring that the value of the learning materials is maximized, that their school attendance is adequate and that their academic performance reflects growth.
Most of the new children are going to school for the first time. Some have been forced to drop out for a few months due to financial challenges that their families have experienced. Some of the children were feeling desperate and frustrated. Some girls faced the danger of teenage pregnancy or early child marriage.
But what matters now is that they are now all Back to School! Thanks to your help and thanks to TANF.
The more support we receive there more children we can enroll to school. One child at a time.
We therefore thank you and encourage you to continue supporting TANF with even a small amount per month with (minimum of 10$), as even a small amount can change a life of a child sponsored by TANF.
THANK YOU!
Laud & The TANF Team
