With the support of you all we have been able to actively sponsor 65 children via our flagship Child Sponsorship Program in Ghana. Most of these children dropped out of school because they had to support their single parents, they became orphan or they had teenage mothers unable to send them to school.
Help us reach our ambitious goal of 80 this year! Drop us an email or visit our online fundraising page to donate – every small or big donation counts! With an little as 1$ per day you can give a child access to education, healthcare and hope for a better future.

GIVING TUESDAY: MARK TANF IN YOUR CALENDAR!

TANF would like to invite as many people as possible to join our Giving Tuesday movement this year on the 27th of November to enroll 15 underprivileged children to school. Our target is to raise an amount that’s covers 15 children to be in school for one year. With our 1$ per day Child Sponsorship program we can make it! As we are stronger together!

THE POWER OF MICRO-FINANCING: A CALL FOR A SUSTAINABLE CHANGE

At TANF we believe long-term change can be achieved only by having a sustainable approach, decreasing the dependability on external sponsors and donations and by encouraging local small businesses to arise and self-sustain themselves. For this reason we have started TANF’s first MicroFinance Program supporting single mothers in Ghana to start and grow their business, while their kids can go to school.

Also the mother of Wiafe, who lost his right arm in a fire accident when he was only 1 week old, needs our help. She was unemployed, relying heavily on subsistence farming to provide food to Wiafe and his younger brother. Living in a single room of a traditional house made of mud and clay. No electricity, no running water. After TANF Ghana provided a scholarship to pay for Wiafe’s education, he’s been extremely motivated to attend school, walking two hours to get there and back each day. His mother has since expressed a desire to start her own business selling small goods to help bring income into the family.

TANF’s PRIORITY: TEENAGE PREGNANCY AWARENESS

At TANF we have set the priority on to running more public awareness campaigns covering the topic of teenage pregnancy and how can one can prevents them. Since we started our Child Sponsorship Program, we have discovered more cases of girls aged 14-15 getting pregnant, being an important gap in our focus area, that we have decided to address by educating both teenage girls and boys about the importance of safe-sex education and early-pregnancy prevention. We have launched a new campaign: TANF Rural Women and girls Empowerment Project to raise needed awareness and funds to make it happen. Join us today!
