The world is passing through difficult period; IDA Rwanda’s folks continue to suffer because of this pandemic period. Partners and supporters of IDA Rwanda continue to do a great work by helping to be connected with our beneficiaries during this period. The lockdown caused so many problems to the poor people we work with, some of those problems include lack of food, hygiene materials and other most needed items in this period. Despite all those problems, our partners and supporters tried to support us as they could. So we have been able to distribute food, hygiene materials and some facemasks to a limited number of beneficiaries, 20 children with albinism under school age received school materials, skin lotion crème, and 15 families received food.

We are so happy for the work done by our partners and supporters and we recognize the work you are doing with us.

The covid 19 pandemic has affected us like other charity organizations depending on grants and donations. More than 90% of all activities we carried out in this program have stopped accidently because of the pandemic. Our beneficiaries have survived in this period. Some of our partners tried to do what they could in order to help us supporting our beneficiries during this difficult period. 40 children under school age recived school material, skin creme and other basic needs during this period. We are now struggling to find a sustainable solution for this program so that our beneficiaries shouldn't suffer as they suffered. Thank you so much to all partners who continue supporting us during this difficult time.

Food distribution in pandemic period
Food distribution in pandemic period

In this difficult pandemic period; things are not running well as usually. Lockdowns have affected economically all projects elsewhere in the world. IDA Rwanda as one of the non-government charity organization which runs all activities under financial support of different partners and donors; as covid 19 affected our donors and partners we are also directly affected. Despite of all those issues, some of our partners struggle to find what to do for vulnerable people in this period. Under this limited support we have tried to reach to the most vulnerable of our beneficiaries affected by the pandemic. We distributed food, school materials, soaps and facemasks to our beneficiaries; we also taught them how to take strong measures in order to stay safe and stop spreading covid 19.

IDA Rwanda is very thankful to everyone who supported us during this period; keep share with your friends, family members and workmates our work, and keep also being touched by the life of miserable people in rural communities. We will always value your work. Thank you!!!

As, we all know, more than 7 months living in a difficult pandemic period. Rural community especially people living with some handicaps are suffering of hunger. this is a reason why in this period,IDA Rwanda has focused on supporting most suffering beneficiaries to find food for eating ,hygienic materials  and education.

Because of limited resources, we have served a limited number of beneficiaries. 23 people received food and hygienic material while 16 received only hygienic materials and education.  Amonst them 10 were adult and 29 children.  There is no campagn cause the bad situation we are living since long ago.IDA Rwanda team continue to advocate and trying to stimulate even individuals and organisations to help us supporting these miserable people in rural community.

We will always recognize, everyone physical and moral people who supported us to achieve all these in this pandemic period. Truly we are very thankful. At the end we are still requesting everyone with a helping will to support us so that we can serve more and more on a little thing from you. Thank you!

During this pandemic period; IDA Rwanda helped by its partners, we have tried to help our beneficiaries, even it was not easy because of limited resources and living conditions in this period. As known our beneficiaries (people with albinism) are classified among poorest people in this rural area. The big problem in this pandemic period is how they can find what to eat like other people in this community. With our different donors, we distributed food to 24 families of our beneficiaries, we gave to them also some hygienic materials like soap and body lotions.  The campaign for helping them continue up to now, community mobilization on behavior change on people ideology about persons living with albinism is a continuation activity for every day.

Even if in this pandemic period, some of donors help us to serve few families, our beneficiaries continue to suffer different problems related to this pandemic like lack of food, lack of skin lotion protection and skin protection clothes and shoes. IDA Rwanda asks everyone with a giving heart to help us supporting our beneficiaries who are most affected by covid 19 during this period. We are also very thankful to everyone who did even a little thing for helping us to support this group of people; we will always recognize your effort. Thank you once again for each person who uses his time to think about the work of IDA Rwanda.
