Hello, our friends. You can see in text below what we did from june till mid October.
Festival: LOUD, LOUDER! - ArtFemine 8
The 8th ArtFemine festival, organized by the activists of the Center for Girls, gathered over 150 people, both fellow citizens and sisters-in-arms from the region and abroad, during the four days that it lasted. The visitors of the festival were able to attend and participate in a street action, workshops, panels, performances, and music events.
One of the most significant events at the festival was Nevena's performance.
Nevena M. performance “Women trafficking, violence/art/reality” initiated an important subject for our society. Nevena’s story started in Niš over 20 years ago. On July 3rd 2021 she was, for the first time, in her birth city, able to perform the play into which she poured all of her experience she gained while being a victim to human trafficking, recovering, returning to her normal life and uncovering art as the medium to spread the story of this horrible type of violence. After the performance, there followed an interview with Nevena, Eveline C. - the director of the performance, and Hristina P. from the NGO ASTRA. The interview was led by the lead coordinator for the Center for Girls – Tatjana N.
7th Feminist Art Colony
Center for Girls hosted and welcomed seven artists for this year's Feminist Art Colony, who spent their 7 days in Sicevo creating their artworks. Female artists took part in this colony from Rijeka (Hrvatska), Kruševac, Niš, Štrpce, Beograd, Kragujevac and Lapovo. Their words will best describe how they spent their time there and how they felt at the colony, so we leave you with some of their impressions.
What did participation in the Feminist Art Colony mean for you and what emotion did it bring out in you?
For me it meant something beautiful. The journey, personal growth, meeting with the new, exploration, abolishing of personal prejudices, getting out of my comfort zone, education, empowerment. I am inspired that something like this exists on this planet and it gives me hope that things can change for the better inside our own community. I am left with positive feelings. A feeling of being a part of something, of acceptance and self-worth. I made new friends and I will always remember this community full of peace, tolerance, joy, and creativity.

Three activists brought the issue closer to their fellow citizens by reading the confessions of girls and women from Afghanistan. Together with thousands of others around the world, we have supported the worldwide campaign organized by @ 1billionrising @vdayorg @eveensler Why? * I liked the workshop it could be mentioned more often in schools and more stories about it
* The workshop was great, I learned a lot and it was great, I did a lot heard of human trafficking ♥
