We stand and fight for our society
We did a lot of interesting things from mid-October till mid-February. Enjoy reading.
Associates from Tutin, from the organization "Impus", included us in the program of their festival, where we performed a couple of texts from the play "I am an emotional being".
As part of the festival "Art and Human Rights" in Belgrade, we did a workshop "For a life without violence" organized by Dah Theater. The aim of the workshop was to empower women to choose a life without violence, to recognize violence and not enter it, or to exit if they are already in it. We also performed "Women's Cemetery".
Our activists conducted 3 workshops on the prevention of human trafficking, which were held in the Center for Girls, where the girls learned what are the most common ways of recruitment, forms of human trafficking and how to protect themselves.
With the street action "Right to legal abortion", we gave support to women from Poland who protested in their country because of the most valid abolition of the right to legal abortion in that country.
We opened an exhibition of works from the 6th Feminist Art Colony. The exhibition was opened in Leskovac under the title "The butterfly effect", on November 25, on the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women".
Since we love animals, and we are aware of how many of them there are on the streets, in the cold and without shelter, we decided to play a little and make a couple of houses for street dogs and cats.
We marked December 2 - International Day for the Abolition of Slavery by holding a banner, handing out pamphlets and talking to citizens. A song talking about labor exploitation was heard from the speakers all the time during the street action.
A campaign on social networks in the fight against violence toward little girls, girls and women. led by our activists.
On December 5, we once again performed "Women's Cemetery" to mark the Montreal Massacre.
On December 18 - International Migrants Day, we sent a message to our fellow citizens to imagine themselves in their shoes. We distributed 200 brochures on how to protect yourself from human trafficking during a pandemic. The material was provided by the NGO ASTRA.
We supported actresses Milena and Iva who went public and talked about the sexual abuse and rapes they experienced by their acting professor while they were teenagers.
Our activists distributed flyers to female citizens with information on the prevention of cervical cancer in order to draw their attention to go to gynecological examinations and take care of their health.
Preparations for the one billion campaign are rising, within which we will plant trees at several locations in Nis during March. This will make a small but very important contribution in the fight against air pollution in our city.
The young activists of the Center for Girls had a meeting about future promotional activities.
Stay with us.
Stay tuned.
