Covid 19 has changed everything, from our mouvements, activities to our work with the children. However, what has been constant is the relation and the giving to the earth. While doing remedial studying, we have earmarked some time to honor our mission at Dar Si Hmad of working on earth and learning from earth: resilience, sharing, giving back and keeping the sparkle of wonder always alive. While learning math, history, some natural science, and grammar in class provide opportunity for these low-serviced children to catch-up the learning losses due to the pandemic school closing, working in the school-yard is creating a group dynamic and spirit that is simply beautiful. The children feel truly empowered and inspired to learn more and find great pleasure in combining the hands-on approach with books and board.
