This project will provide needed remedial classes to pupils in the Anti-Atlas mountains who were unable to follow and learn from the alternative educational venues offered by the Moroccan Ministry of Education following the pandemic lockdown in March 2020. As schools have re-opened, the pupils to have benefited from DSH's Water and Oasis school, find it extremely hard to catch up on previous curriculum while following the new. DSH will organise support sessions so they learn and prosper.
There are currently formidable challenges to study virtually for rural students. The families cannot afford to buy needed equipment, internet connection is spotty when not on a plan, and the content delivered in a standardised way that does not cater to the specific learning needs of these low-serviced children. During the entire lockdown period, these students simply did not study the way their paris in urban settings did and they need today to catch up on classes & cover new educational ground
Dar Si Hmad will provide teachers, tablets, and complete revisions of the lock-down period. The children will be trained in using the tablets responsibly to continue their learning process and catch up on the serious delay they have today.
The project will provide quality education to some 50 children allowing them to reach middle school and continue on for higher education. It will equally provide an opportunity for educational growth for pupils who, otherwise, suffer from low-quality education.
