Celebrating Our July Bonus Day Impact

By Sarah Estes | Donor Relations Coordinator

Dear AAFE Friends,

Because of the generosity of our community, more Afghan children are continuing their education and building brighter futures. Today, we’re pleased to share the impact we achieved together through GlobalGiving’s July Bonus Day campaign.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, our GlobalGiving July Bonus Day campaign raised $673 from four dedicated donors. With additional matching funds from GlobalGiving, the campaign generated a total impact of $764 to help expand educational opportunities for vulnerable Afghan youth.

Every contribution—whether through a donation, volunteering, sharing our mission, or simply believing in our work—helps bring hope, learning, and opportunity to children who need them most.

Every dollar raised will help street-working children attend school instead of working on the streets and ensure that girls who have been denied access to secondary education can continue learning through our online English and computer classes.

This year, 90% of the children enrolled in our programs advanced in school, demonstrating what is possible when children are given the opportunity to learn. These achievements are possible because of a community that believes education has the power to transform lives.

The success of our July Bonus Day campaign will help us continue supporting vulnerable Afghan youth and ensure that children and girls in our programs can continue learning despite the challenges they face.

If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to read our 2025 Impact Report, we invite you to explore it below to learn more about the progress we’ve made together.
