As we reach the halfway point of 2025, we are thrilled to share updates from all of our campuses, celebrating the achievements of our students and the progress of our programmes.
At the start of the year we welcomed a new class of Kasisi Students to our Kasisi foundation house in Zambia. The students are settling in well and are already making fantastic progress in their studies. We are so proud of the enthusiasm and determination they’ve brought to the foundation house, and for all of their hard work at school.
Our SkillsHub vocational training programme is excelling with 378 young people currently enrolled. By learning in-demand vocational skills, such as Electronics, Organic Farming, Hospitality and Cosmetology, these young people are able to build a future and contribute important skills and services to build their country’s economy.
Naomi, a SkillsHub Trainee recently shared with us: “My favourite aspect is that this course has taught me about resilience, to have self-confidence, how I can deal with my mental health issues, social well being and success.”
Our SkillsHub students are stepping into their communities as empowered individuals, ready to shape their futures and inspire others. We look forward to seeing what these fantastic young people go on to achieve in their futures.
Our students in India have been working exceptionally hard studying and preparing for their annual exams. Recently both grades 10 and 12 sat their national board exams, and have achieved fantastic results! We are so proud of their dedication and resilience, and of all the hard work that our students put into their studies. We wish all our students the best for the rest of their exams and assessments this academic year.
In Nepal, following the success of our first graduating class in 2024, we have expanded our intake and welcomed a new, larger class of students to our foundation house this year. This growth will allow us to help even more children in Nepal access a life changing Pestalozzi education, a step that wouldn’t have been possible without your continued support.
Last weekend also saw the graduation of our most recent class in Nepal. Ten of our students that joined us in October 2017 finished their exams and graduated from our campus after nearly eight years of growing, learning and living together. Two of the graduates have already received offers from Ashoka University in India, with the others now preparing applications to colleges and universities in Nepal and beyond.
One of the recent graduates, Aarti, shared: “Being a Pestalozzi scholar means so much more than just receiving an education. It means being part of a global family that believes in inequality, opportunity and making a difference."
It is always a privilege to see the Pestalozzi scholars grow into thoughtful, inspirational young people. We can’t wait to see where their journeys take them next.
