Makoko children are the most disadvantaged children in lagos, nigeria who lives on water with no proper education. We would be providing them with learning materials, books, teachers, foods, clothes, shoes and shade for classrooms.
Makoko community has a children population of over 20,000 children with no government school located on water. The children are forced to attend some make shift school which is over populated with no learning facilities including books and writing materials. The children will be given adequate and quality education.
Our effort will be to make the learning centers conducive and also provide the children with quality learning materials including books, uniforms, shoes and also teachers to give them a hope of a bright future. The children will have enough materials to learn. This will also attract and encourage other parents to send their children to school.
The issue of illiteracy will be solved and in the long term give hope to the children of this community. It will help the children to further their education and also be able to compete in the society. The children will definitely grow to become leaders of tomorrow and in turn come back to develop the community that raised them. For a start, 200 kids will be taken care of and we hope to increase the numbers in the nearest future. The fundamental basic education will be given to these children.
