Hello! We here at Until There’s A Cure just wanted to give you an update on our project, Educate a Woman, Educate a Nation. Our efforts to educate the population about HIV/AIDS have been highly successful. The funds raised have gone toward care services, awareness campaigns, and education for these women. Thank you all for your generous support.
National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness day is on March 10th. HIV/AIDS is a serious public health issue for women and girls. In 2010, women and girls made up two-thirds of people who got the disease by having heterosexual sex. This isn’t right, and these figures need to go down. At Until There’s A Cure, we dream that one day there will be no new people infected, and that no more children will be born with HIV. This is the month to work towards that.
This month, help support women worldwide in the fight against HIV/AIDS. In order to help, you can understand your risk of infection as well as how to prevent it, encourage others to get tested, get the necessary support if you or someone you know is living with it, and support programs providing services to people living with the disease. If we all come together, we can fight this. Together, we will see a day when no more people get infected.
