20% of people infected with HIV are unaware they have the disease. Without treatment HIV will become AIDS and eventually lead to a weakened immune system, many symptoms and side effects, and eventually their passing from an AIDS related cause. The money supporters have donated to Educate A Woman Educate A Nation is enough for 11 HIV tests. Meaning 11 more people know they need treatments to prolong their life. Thank you to all the supporters that made this possible.
Knowing one’s status is just the first step in the battle against HIV/AIDS. While other people with serious illnesses receive sympathy, people with HIV/AIDS face stigma and discrimination. Many stereotypes about HIV/AIDS still exist. Such as that it is a disease of homosexuals and drug attics, but the truth is anyone can get infected. HIV does not discriminate between whom it makes ill.
Until There’s A Cure needs help raising money to help people face and surpass these problems. UNTIL will provide care services such as housing, meals, and employment training, along with more tests, when more money is raised by this campaign. You can make a difference…Until There’s A Cure.
