Our students have just completed their end-of-term exams and are now enjoying a well-deserved one-week break at home.
This month, our young people completed their end-of-term exams, marking the close of yet another busy and productive season of learning. Exams are always a milestone for our students, but they are about much more than just grades. They are a chance for us to see how far our students have come in both knowledge and confidence.
This term, the students were tested in a wide variety of subjects. They demonstrated their skills in knitting, showcasing the creativity and patience that go into turning a ball of yarn into a finished product. They also sat for computer theory and practical exams, where they were asked not only to demonstrate software skills but also to troubleshoot basic issues. Business management exams gave them the opportunity to apply their understanding of entrepreneurship and leadership, while health and life skills assessments focused on real-life applications such as decision-making, communication, and personal well-being.
For our staff, it is always a joy to watch students approach these exams with determination and to see their pride as they realize how much they have learned. One young lady lit up as she explained how he had mastered a computer program she had never touched before coming here. A young woman proudly displayed her knitted project, saying she never thought she would be able to make something with her own hands. Another shared how the life skills classes have given her the confidence to speak up for herself at home and in the community.
After the exams, the students returned home for a one-week break to rest, reconnect with their families, and gather strength for the new term ahead. For many of them, this is also an opportunity to reflect on how far they have come and how much further they can go.
None of this would be possible without your generosity. Every exam passed, every new skill mastered, and every moment of confidence gained is thanks to you.
From all of us at Springs of Hope Foundation, thank you for being part of our students’ journey.
