In July, Sevier County schools in Tenessee donated nearly 700 desks to benefit students in Sierra Leone.  News coverage can be watched at https://www.wvlt.tv/2022/07/11/sevier-county-schools-donating-desks-africa/

These school tables and chairs will aid learning and enhance classroom academic performance. Your support helped cover some of the shipping costs to get the nearly 700 desks and chairs from Tenessee to Freetown.

The desks and chairs arrived in Freetown in October. As of November 1st, the Develop Africa Sierra Leone team has distributed 510 tables and chairs to 10 schools throughout Sierra Leone. Locations included Kamakwie, Kamawornie, York, and Freetown.

You can see photos of the distribution in Kamawornie and local news coverage at https://youtu.be/q0gfOxWmrnM

These school tables and chairs will aid learning and enhance classroom academic performance.  We are very thankful to Sevier County Schools and to YOU for helping with shipping costs.

Making a monthly donation is the most effective way to help future leaders get their education, but every dollar donated makes a difference!

If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we warmly welcome your ongoing support. If you have any questions, please email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.

Warm regards,

Amy and the Develop Africa team
