Project Report: Educating Refugee Teenagers in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda (63740)
Summary
Over the past three months, our initiative to educate refugee teenagers in Nakivale has faced several challenges, particularly due to a lack of resources to effectively run our programs. Despite these obstacles, the number of participants has almost doubled, and we have been able to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for 25 young teenagers. Our focus has been on delivering essential educational content and hands-on skills training to equip these young people with the tools they need to create a better future for themselves and the community they live in.
Impact and Success Stories
Amisi, a 14-year-old teenager, has been involved in our programs at New Talent for the Best Future. Upon arrival in Nakivale Refugee Settlement with his family, Amisi had limited access to education in his home country, but he had a passion for drawing (Art). Through our hands-on skills program, he has not only received the education he needed but also developed essential skills, while nurturing his passion for drawing. This newfound skill has given him a sense of purpose and hope for a better future.
Thank you,
New Talent for the Best Future
