We hope you are healthy and happy. We are pleased to share a glimpse of the change your support continues to bring to the lives of girls from underserved communities. Because of your contribution, many girls are staying in school, pursuing higher education, and imagining futures that once seemed beyond their reach.

So far, iPartner India with your kindness has awarded more than 1200 scholarships to girls enrolled in both boarding and non-boarding schools. These scholarships have helped ease financial burdens and encouraged families to support their daughters’ education.

Below, two scholarship recipients share their personal experiences and the difference your support has made in their lives. We invite you to read their stories and celebrate the opportunities you have helped create.

Gauri’s Story

Hello, GlobalGiving family. My name is Gauri (name changed), and I come from a rural village in Rajasthan. I recently completed Grade 12 with 83% marks and dream of pursuing a B.A.-B.Ed. degree so that I can become a teacher.

Growing up, I noticed that girls in my community often have limited opportunities to continue their education. Many are expected to leave school early due to financial difficulties and social pressures. I wanted a different future for myself and hoped to show other girls that education can open new possibilities.

My father works at a grocery shop, and supporting my education has been challenging for my family. Along with financial constraints, I have often faced discouragement from relatives and community members who questioned the need for girls to pursue higher education. Despite these challenges, I remained determined to continue studying.

With the support of iPartner India and generous donors like you, I have been able to continue my education and move one step closer to my dream of becoming a teacher. The encouragement I have received has strengthened my confidence and helped me believe in my potential.

Anjali’s Story

Hello, GlobalGiving family. My name is Anjali (name changed), and I come from a rural village in Rajasthan. I recently completed Grade 12 with 73.2% marks and dream of pursuing a B.A. followed by an MBA. In the future, I hope to join the civil services and create positive change in society.

I am the second girl in my family and only the third girl in my village to complete grade 12. Many girls in my community drop out of school after Class 8. I was also the first girl from my village to travel 3 kilometres every day to continue my education.

Growing up, I witnessed limited opportunities for girls. Sex work is prevalent in my community, and many young girls are forced to follow traditional paths rather than pursue alternate career path or higher education. Seeing these realities strengthened my determination to choose a different future for myself through education.

My father is a farmer, and supporting the education of five children has been difficult for my family. In addition, social pressure from relatives and community members often discouraged my parents from investing in my studies. Despite these challenges, I remained committed to my education.

With the support of iPartner India and compassionate donors like you, I have been receiving scholarship for the past five years, since grade 8. This unwavering support has enabled me to complete my education up to grade 12 without any interruptions. The guidance provided to my family has also encouraged them to support my dream of pursuing higher education.

I am thankful to the donors and iPartner India. Because of your support, I can continue my education and work towards my dream of building a better future for myself and inspiring other girls in my community to do the same.
