Since 2018, iPartner India has steadfastly provided unwavering support for educating young girls residing in Rajasthan, within a community that fosters the perpetuation of traditional sex work practices. As a result of this commendable education campaign, 227 girls have been afforded the opportunity to pursue education and strive towards constructing a prosperous existence that transcends the confines of their accustomed environment. The most vulnerable are enrolled into boarding institutions.
Despite the diligent efforts of iPartner India and its collaborative partners in the anti-trafficking domain, a disheartening reality persists: Young minor girls continue to be ensnared in the cruel web of sex work. Regrettably, despite subsequent interventions and ongoing work, the persistence of this problem underscores the urgent need for continued advocacy, support, and a steadfast commitment to rescuing these vulnerable individuals from the clutches of exploitation.
iPartner India's solution to the problem is twofold. 1st, we continue to fund the education of 227 girls and support the 40 most vulnerable girls in an educational institute with a residential facility. 2nd, iPartner India's prevention model Rakshan continues to engage the entire ecosystem to protect vulnerable girls from trafficking. This comprehensive approach promotes holistic development, breaks the cycle of exploitation, and empowers the community to combat the issue collectively.
The potential long-term impact of providing selected girls from the Nat community with the right opportunities extends far beyond their academic achievements. By empowering these girls to excel academically, we nurture the seeds of change and fortify their resolve to combat sex trafficking and the injustices that pervade their communities. We aspire that these resilient young individuals will emerge as beacons of inspiration, igniting a spark of hope in the hearts of girls who dare to dream.
