Since 2018, iPartner India has steadfastly provided unwavering support for educating young girls residing in Rajasthan, within a community that fosters the perpetuation of traditional sex work practices. As a result of this commendable education campaign, 1417 girls have been afforded the opportunity to pursue education and strive towards constructing a prosperous existence that transcends the confines of their accustomed environment. The most vulnerable are enrolled into boarding institutions.
Despite the diligent efforts of iPartner India and its collaborative partners in the anti-trafficking domain, a disheartening reality persists: Young minor girls continue to be ensnared in the cruel web of sex work. Regrettably, despite subsequent interventions and ongoing work, the persistence of this problem underscores the urgent need for continued advocacy, support, and a steadfast commitment to rescuing these vulnerable individuals from the clutches of exploitation.
iPartner India's solution is twofold. First, we aim to support 1,000 additional girls with education, alongside residential education for the most vulnerable girls. Second, through Rakshan, our prevention model, we engage families, young people and community institutions to protect girls from trafficking and exploitation. Together, these efforts address the root causes of vulnerability, promote education and build safer communities where girls can pursue their aspirations and shape their future.
Educational opportunities are opening new possibilities for girls from the Denotified communities, helping them continue their studies, build confidence and pursue their dreams. Many are becoming the first girls in their families to reach significant educational milestones. As they work towards careers in law, medicine, teaching, civil services, sports and other fields, they are inspiring other girls to dream beyond social barriers and shape their own futures.
