Educate Children & Empower Youths in a Lagos Slum

We are delighted to report that our mobile library initiative has continued to serve children underserved community. Thorough our mobile library initiative, CCI has continued to provide access to books to children in underserved communities and helping to improve literacy and restore the culture of reading among children in our community.

With your support, we have acquired boxes of new books to refresh the library. Recently, the mobile library truck underwent a major refurbishment, ensuring that it continues to function and serve our community. With the recent report by the National Human Capital Development Programme stating that 70 percent of Nigerian children under the age of 10 cannot read and understand a simple sentence, we are grateful that this initiative has continued to fight illiteracy and help improve the reading and comprehension of children while inpiring curiosity.

Our Back-to-School project in September reached over 1,000 children with back packs stuffed with essential school supply and shoes, equipping them with the resources they need to strive. This project continues to inspire children to remain in school and off the streets.

CCI provided professional development training to teachers in our community in preparation for Back-to-School, continuing to support teachers to better support the children.

Thank you for your generous support. Your kindness and continuous support has continued to make sustainable impact.
