Since opening this campaign, ALG has been dutifully employed in bringing leadership and collaboration to many corners of Guatemala. We've planned a collaboration with an organization that serves the community most affected by Volcano Fuego's eruption in June 2018. In this project, we will be going out to Escuintla, a coastal state in Guatemala, to offer a series of two hour long trainings in Restorative Practices to the leaders of the community.
At the same time, our team is developing a special leadership curriculum for an organization based in Sololá, the state which is home to Lake Atitlan. This leadership curriculum will be based on the very curriculum we use for our flagship program, the Certificate in Leadership and Collaboration, but tailored for this organzations population, which is young women.
We continue a collaboration with another womens organization in the Chimaltenango state, training a group from the organization in leadership, collaboration and restorative processes.
Of course, alongside all of these projects (and others) we have been working through the Certificate in Leadership and Collaboration with thirty leaders from across Central America. We'll wrap this program up in Septemeber.
Overall, its been a busy year for us in the development of leadership and collaboration in Central America, and we hope for exciting news about what is lined up for 2020 soon.
