Environment Aware And Restoration Network( EARN) is concerned about poor learning environment, unhygenic and dehumanizing learning conditions in rural Owa -Alero community in Nigeria. Children on classroom floor=dignity stolen. They want to learn but the floor is their desk+ chairs.They have no chairs and desks in the classroom.Rainy season,the floor gets muddy. Heat= no ventilation . EARN wants to provide 200 chairs & desks for 200 pupils.Suport learning today to empower the young.
As no child sbould be left behind in education, there is increase in learning and this has created a surge in demand for classroom space and facilities such as chairs,desks and toilet facilities. Overcrowding calls for more facilities and infrastructure for sustainable environment for learning that will enhance learning and effective education delivery.The lack of learning facilities will cause examination failures but lower educational growth.
Your 30 dollars provides one chair/desk for one child.The provision of learning facilities will not improve the learning process and environment but will give the children a sense of dignity and a good space to listen to their teachers in atmosphere of joy of being in school to learn and understand..EARN's initiative will encourage more pupils to go to school under conducive and hygienic environment.
The project is expected to increase learning and attendance of young children in the rural and poor communities, community engagement, economic development and improve early childhood education. Condusive learning environment will boost education standards from the elementary stages and foster environmental awareness, sustainability and development in the beneficiary community and elevate education standards.
