Thank you so much for believing in the children of rural Masindi! Your generous support is helping break the cycle of poverty by giving vulnerable children access to quality education, health support, and a brighter future. Because of you, we are creating real change in our community.
What We Accomplished This Quarter
With the funds received, we directly supported 28 children (18 girls and 10 boys) from low-income families, many of whom are orphans or living with young mothers
1. We provided school fees, uniforms, and learning materials for 22 children, ensuring they could attend classes without interruption.
2. hrough our menstrual hygiene program, we distributed reusable sanitary pads and conducted awareness sessions for 15 teenage girls, reducing school absenteeism caused by periods.
3. We ran family livelihood workshops for 12 guardians (mostly women), teaching basic entrepreneurship skills like vegetable gardening and small animal rearing. This helps families generate income to sustain their children's education long-term.
4. Our team conducted home visits and community sensitization on ending child marriage and teenage pregnancies, reaching over 45 community members.
A Story from the Field
Meet Amina, a 13-year-old girl who lost her father and was at risk of dropping out due to poverty and early marriage pressures. Thanks to your donation, Amina received full school support this term. She told us: “I now go to school happily and dream of becoming a teacher one day so I can help other children like me.” Her mother, who attended our livelihood training, started a small kitchen garden and is already selling vegetables to pay for Amina's books. Stories like Amina’s show how your gifts create ripple effects across families.
Impact Numbers You Made Possible
• 28 children received direct education support
• 15 girls empowered with menstrual hygiene knowledge and supplies
• 12 families gained skills for sustainable income
• 45+ community members engaged in child rights awareness
These small steps are building a foundation for healthier, more educated children who will contribute to a stronger Masindi community.
