Educate & Empower a Student in Kenya

Receive greetings from PV team and the project beneficiaries. We are happy to inform you that with your support, PV is contributing towards the achievement of the UN’s Millennium Development Goal (MDG) number two, which is to “Achieve universal primary education. We have created a partnership of friends ready to actively participate and support our projects with donations and build people-centered participatory development.

With the $506.21 donations received during the quarter, we;

• Purchased school kits and classroom essentials for 15 children.

• Paid tuition fee for 2 students in Ruaraka

• Facilitated 2 volunteer teachers and 1 mentor for the 3 informal partner schools

The volunteer teachers and mentor were engaged in the 3 partner schools with the aim of teaching and guiding students towards improved academic standards and constructive life. Teaching program took place every day from Monday to Friday and the mentorship program placed volunteer mentor once a week to hold sessions on different topics every week.

Because of your support, students in Ruaraka informal schools received a better education. All 3 schools that your funds have helped provide extra teachers reported that the volunteer teachers are working hard and easing the workload. A few teachers have said that the support given by Progressive Volunteers and driven by you has motivated the staff and students.
