2019 we had a target of reaching out to 40 needy students, we can report that our program directly benefitted 12 students, this is far below the target we had set. In 2020, we remain with the target of 40 students directly benefiting from the project.
The 12 students we supported in 2019 are happy with the support and we plan to continue with the support and ensure that they finish school with good grades. One of such students (Purity) who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education scored 391 out of 500 and set to join Our Lady of Fatima secondary school this January Another pupil who was at Baba Dogo primary school courtesy of the programme scored 355, he is set to join Ruaraka High School.
We are happy the project is a success as more children finish primary and secondary school with a high level of literacy. We envision that by the end of 2020 we shall have reached our target of 40 students benefitting from the program and more than 30 students recording good performance in the national examinations.
We would like to take this moment to thank all our donors who made this possible by supporting education of these students. We request you to be continually engaged with our work by starting a recurring donation and by adopting a student and following up on their individual performance. We thank you for all you have done for educating the needy students in Kenya, and we look forward for your continued support.
