Educate and Empower 400 PLWD as Leaders in Nigeria
Based on our gained experiences as one of the members of GlobalGiving Organization, it has become necessary to leverage the deepening relationship between the GIEVA organization and some local corporate organizations- Internet providers, commercial banks, and some businesses whose corporate social responbilities’ missions target education and empowerment of persons living with disabilities. This is to find corporate sponsors willing to collaborate with the GIEVA organization for the PLWD’s long term strategic projects for mutual benefits.
In the coming quarter, GIEVA’s plan is to design targeted projects and micro projects in colaboration with corporate sponsors that identifies young PLWD individuals to support their education and empowerment. As the long-term “Sustainable Transformative Education Project” (STEP) has now become GIEVA’s springboard for designing projects focused on PLWD, the 2026 planned period will enable the STEP to begin developing targetted contextual data gatherings for policy formulation and decision making. . In the GIEVA’s intentional approach, the coming 2026, we are including digital-powered training programs to encourage inclusion in accessing the growing AI-powered digital economy and financial inclusion.
The GIEVA management has taken a firm decision that in the first quarter of 2026, there will be a micro project in loving memory of Dorothy Marcus, a passionate advocate for women’s dignity, disability rights, and equitable access to essential care. Her legacy of compassionate care inspires the GIEVA’ STEP Long-term strategic project: “Educate and Empower 400 PLWD as leaders” to address this focused initiative in 2026
Finally, as we look forward to the 2026 with greater hope, the GIEVA organization wishes to extend our profound appreciation to the GlobalGiving organization. The GlobalGiving organization give us free access to these unique training resources and regular webinars to continue to tell our stories and share with our faithful donors who continue to support our strategic CAUSE as a pathway for PLWD in Nigeria.
We wish the GlobalGiving Organization, our local corporate/individuals, and our international monthly donors, a wonderful season’s blessings.
