Be an Eye to the Visually Impaired

By Ilakkiaarasi | Fundraising Executive

Students with visual impairments should have unique educational needs that are most effectively met using a modern approach to make them learn like other students with vision. Without any doubt one can say that the visual impairment experiences the difficulties that arise in education. As the teaching and learning environment of the present world, relies heavily on visual models and methods, teaching might become more complicated to the visually impaired.

In order to meet their unique needs in learning Mr. Jinnah, the founder of IAB, have worked hard to provide all the new technologies in learning. The Visually Impaired students must have specialized services, books and materials in appropriate media including Braille and Audio, Digital Text, as well as specialized audio equipments to most effectively compete with students with vision in school and in society.

IAB Higher Secondary School is known for providing the best education for the visually impaired in Tamilnadu. The senses of touching and Hearing are given prime importance in educating the children from 6th to 12th standard. Individual Care is given to every student and it helps the school to come with 100% result in the board exams in the successive years.

Through GlobalGiving we gained numerous donors across the world and this leads to raising our fund through $13,558 by 169 Philanthropists. We feel so grateful for the tremendous increase in the funds which we can utilize to literate numerous kids. The visually impaired looks at the world with the eyes of the donors. Donors like you are the eyes of the blind and you guide them and make them live in this competitive world. The education given in IAB is not bookish, but it helps the VI to be self-reliant in the future. With joining hands with GlobalGiving, IAB tries to bring smiles on the face of the visually impaired. The generous donors help us to achieve what we aim at.
