The world is faced with the COVID 19 pandemic and Eswatini has not been spared. Eswatini is the second hardest-hit country in Southern Africa after South Africa. The economic impact due to this pandemic has caused major job losses which have resulted in severe poverty and many families have found themselves in a dire state with no income to sustain even their very basic necessities like food. Although international travel has been allowed in South Africa, there are restrictions that have prevented an economic come back for a country heavily reliant on tourism.
Through these difficult times, All Out Africa through your donations has been able to provide food parcels each and every month for 44 families from April to September 2020 and with the assistance of the British High Commission, we have been providing food parcels for a further 55 families monthly since July 2020. Poverty-stricken families who benefited included those with a terminally ill family member, child-headed families, and families headed by elderly grandparents. Thanks to a donation by Swaziland Charitable Trust we were able to top up the Rice, Mealie-Meal, Chicken Pieces, oil and Vegetables with a highly nutritious breakfast food supplement called E-PAP.
We appreciate all the support we receive from the GlobalGiving family. Without you, there are many vulnerable families who would not have survived the pandemic lockdown. Unfortunately due to reduced donations, this month we can only support 10 vulnerable families through our GlobalGiving relief fund. Please do continue supporting this important cause. Your immense support is really appreciated and we hope we can get further support as the situation worsens in the country with people continuing to lose their jobs and the extension to a state of National Emergency.
No matter how bad the situation, we shall continue to do all we can to help!
THANK YOU!!
