In the world, 78% of girls don't have access to education and in Bangladesh, 1.5 million girls are not enrolled in school. JAAGO Foundation gives girls an opportunity towards quality education. We urge you to join us in our fight to secure the future of girls throughout the country and help us give them the basic fundamental right in education. This opportunity will help them grow and explore their capabilities. Change the lives of young girls. Help Sponsor their Education.
Gender discrimination starts from birth and continues throughout life in Bangladesh. These patriarchal concepts not only strip away girls from their rights but also compromise the growth in the nation's economy. Underprivileged girls grow up to become less socially mobile. They remain ignorant and untapped and this practice gets passed on to the next generation.
This project will give the gift of quality education for underprivileged girls at the JAAGO Schools. It is highly important to bring up young girls in our country as educated women. Receiving primary education will allow these individuals to have a set of skills which can act as a base for attaining specialized skills in the future. Thus, it will enable her to earn an increased household income and will contribute to building a larger and skilled labor force.
By impacting 3500 students from the underprivileged background, this project is ensuring that underprivileged girls recover from the turmoil of poverty through education with ICT. JAAGO believes that education and ICT can create a level playing field for girls and will allow them to make better decisions for themselves. They are more likely to recognize the importance of education and ensure education for their children as well.
