Students Welcome a New Year and Independence Day

By Ambereen Siddiqui | Director - HOPE USA

Dear HOPE Friends,

11,000 Students ‍ Usher in a New School Year and Pakistan's Independence Day

Enthusiasm for Pakistan's Independence Day was tangible and heartfelt in HOPE's vast Formal and Home School network as 11,000 students ‍ ushered in the 2024/25 school year which coincided with the country's 77th birthday !

In order to commemorate the occasion, students ‍ participated in a variety of performances including recitation of Surahs from the Quran and poetry celebrating the spirt of Pakistan , singing the national anthem , and enacting skits . These activities serve as a reminder of shared bonds among school children all while creating opportunities in which they gain practice of public speaking skills and confidence in front of their peers.

Make a Difference in the Life of a Zakat-Eligible Child by Giving them the Gift of Education :

$6: Sponsor Stationary for 1 Child for One Year

$10: Support Examination Fees for 1 Child for One Year

$20: Purchase Two Uniforms and a Pair of Shoes for One Child

$25: Sponsor One Month of Supplies (Library Books , Lab Materials )

$30: Sponsor Textbooks for 1 Child for One Year

$60: Support the Salary of a Teacher ‍ for One Month

$100: Sponsor the Education of 1 Child for One Year

As the 2024/25 school year begins in Pakistan , we wish to thank our supporters who allow children from underserved neighborhoods , rural villages , remote mountaintops , and disadvantaged slums to grasp the keys by which they can build a solid foundation to break free from the tenacious cycle of poverty ‍.
