1. SG Volunteers visit to Sukrupa (19 July 2024)

 On July 19, 2024, 27 SG volunteers engaged with 139 students from grades 7 to 10 at Sukrupa through various educational activities. The event was honored by the presence of Mrs. Krupa Ma'am and the school’s headmistress, Mrs. Sushama Maam,  Students were divided into eight groups to explore themes such as "Goals and Dreams," "Save Earth," "Save Forests," and the "Solar System." Each group participated in discussions and creative exercises, utilizing provided art materials to express their insights. They drew, wrote, and presented their work, enhancing their learning experience.The session was particularly impactful as students shared their aspirations and discussed their plans to achieve them, fostering a sense of community and motivation. Overall, the event was a success, providing valuable knowledge and enjoyment for all participants.  

2. Independence Day - (15 August 2024)

Sukrupa Education Centre proudly celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, welcoming students, parents, and the community to join in the festivities.The celebration commenced with a march-past led by students under the guidance of Mr. Nayak (PT Master), followed by a flag hoisting ceremony officiated by Ms. Krupa Ma’am (Founder and CEO), Ms. Sugunamani (Co-Founder), and Mr. K. T. Rajan (Cluster Head - Technology, Innovation, Education & Skills, South Asia, UK Government's Department of Business & Trade).Students from Primary to Grade 10 showcased India’s rich history and freedom struggle through vibrant tableau performances. The venue was beautifully decorated, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Cultural performances, including songs and a pyramid display, added to the celebration's spirit.Mr. K. T. Rajan delivered an inspiring keynote speech, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and education in achieving one’s dreams. Ms. Krupa Ma'am also spoke, highlighting the significance of freedom in shaping the nation’s future.Parents expressed immense pride in their children's performances, and students relished being part of this memorable event. The celebration was a resounding success, leaving all attendees with cherished memories. 

3. SG Volunteers Visit to Sukrupa (27 August 2024)

 On August 27, 2024, 26 SG volunteers conducted a Financial Literacy session at Sukrupa, engaging 115 students in a comprehensive exploration of money management. Participants were divided into eight groups to learn the fundamentals of money, its significance, and effective management strategies.The session included discussions on banking topics, covering various types of banks, banking services such as loans, credit cards, cheques, demand drafts (DD), and KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures. Following the instructional segment, students collaborated to create presentations, sharing their insights and demonstrating teamwork.The interactive and informative format of the session successfully helped students grasp essential financial concepts in an engaging manner. Overall, the event was a valuable learning experience for all participants.

4. Sukallp Launch - (09 September 2024)

On September 9, 2024, the Life Skills and Leadership Programme was launched at Sukrupa Education Centre. This after-school initiative will run for three months, from mid-September to mid-December, benefiting 200 students from grades 5 to 10.The programme, inaugurated by Ms. Krupa Ma'am , Founder and CEO of Sukrupa, aims to foster holistic development through activities such as dance, music, theater, art, sports, communication, and vocabulary enhancement. In her inaugural speech, Ms. Dass emphasized the importance of life and leadership skills beyond traditional education, inspiring excitement among the students.The event was attended by students, school teachers, the headmistress, and program managers, marking a positive start to this enriching initiative.

5. Community visit at Gosangi Community, Kuntigrama – ( 9th September 2024) 

 

On September 9, 2024, Sukrupa Education Centre inaugurated its first community center for the Gosangi community, composed primarily of migrant laborers engaged in waste collection. This initiative aims to provide education and life skills training to address the challenges faced by this community, which often lacks access to essential resources.During the launch, Ms. Krupa Ma’am highlighted the importance of education for the community’s children and the necessity of fostering a healthy environment for their development. She also discussed the significance of financial literacy for future planning. Mr. Murugan Sir addressed topics such as health, hygiene, child marriage, dental health, and self-help groups, facilitating a discussion with community members about local improvements.As part of the event, SUKRUPA distributed school bags, stationery, and water bottles to 55 children, who expressed their joy upon receiving these items. The launch marked a significant step toward supporting the Gosangi community, emphasizing education, finance, and health while engaging members in dialogue about their development.The event was attended by community members, HR representatives, and program managers from SUKRUPA.

6. Gandhi Jayanthi  - (1st October 2024)

On October 2, 2024, Sukrupa Education Centre celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, honoring the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, alongside Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti, marking the 120th anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri.The celebration commenced with a welcome speech by Gagana S from 10th grade, followed by a ceremonial lamp lighting led by Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Sathya Sir , Headmistress Ms. Sushama, teachers, and class leaders. Monika V from 10th grade delivered a speech on Gandhi's life, while Shashank and Sofiya discussed the principle of satyagraha.Students from 9th grade, including Dhanalakshmi, Harshini, Subha, Chaithra, and Iyana, performed a patriotic song, and Bhagavathi’s group presented a skit on Gandhi’s principles and India’s freedom struggle. Mr. Ramanjenaya, the Kannada teacher, spoke about Gandhi in Kannada, and Mr. Hanuman Naik, the PT master, sang a tribute song. Several students also shared speeches about Lal Bahadur Shastri.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Bala Subramani from 10th grade, reflecting on the significance of both leaders’ contributions to the nation.

7. Dasara Celewbration  - (03 October 2024)

 

On October 3, 2024, Sukrupa Education Centre celebrated the Dasara festival with great enthusiasm, aiming to impart traditional values and important moral lessons to the students.

Students participated by dressing in colorful attire, and the event featured a series of cultural performances that highlighted the essence of Dasara. Key performances included:

  1. Dandiya - A lively folk dance from Gujarat.
  2. Veeragase - A vigorous dance from the Mysore Dasara procession.
  3. Huli Vesha - A unique tiger-faced dance from coastal Karnataka.
  4. Dollu Kunitha - A high-energy drum dance from Karnataka.
  5. Bathukamma - A flower festival celebration from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
  6. Ramlila - A narrative performance about the life of Lord Rama.
  7. Durga Pooja - Celebrating the nine forms of Goddess Durga.
  8. Mysore Dasara - Karnataka's grand state festival culminating in Vijayadashami.

The highlight of the celebration was a performance showcasing the diverse forms of Goddess Durga, alongside the Ramlila act. Through these activities, students gained valuable insights into the rich cultural heritage associated with Dasara.The event was well-attended, reinforcing the significance of traditional dances and the festival's importance among students and the community.

8. Adolescent Health Care -  (28th October 2024)

Sukrupa Education Centre observed Adolescent Health Care Awareness Week with a dedicated program led by esteemed doctors from the Indian Pediatrics Association: Dr. Geeta Patil, Dr. Shubha Badami, Dr. Soma Shekar, and Dr. Sumathi Nayak. The program aimed to:

  • Raise awareness about adolescent health issues and concerns.
  • Educate students on healthy habits and lifestyle choices.
  • Increase understanding of physical and mental health changes during adolescence.
  • Encourage healthy habits, including nutrition, exercise, and sleep.
  • Address mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, and depression.
  • Provide resources for substance abuse prevention and reproductive health.

The session was conducted for students in Grades 9 and 10, The event included informative discussions and interactive sessions tailored to the unique health needs of adolescents.The program concluded with the distribution of thank-you cards and health snacks provided by the participating doctors, reinforcing the importance of wellness and gratitude.Overall, the event was successful in fostering a supportive environment for students to learn about their health and well-being. 

9. Diwali Celebration - (30th October 2024)

Sukrupa Education Centre celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm on October 30, 2024, bringing together students from Nursery to Grade 10 for a vibrant cultural celebration. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by CAO Mr. Sathya Sir, Headmistress Ms. Sushama, teachers, and school leaders, followed by a warm welcome speech by Mithyashree (Grade X).The celebration featured a variety of performances, highlighting the students' talents and the significance of Diwali. Nursery students kicked off the program with a special dance, while UKG students sang a Diwali song. A skit performed by students from Grades 3 to 5 highlighted the festival’s meaning. Kusmitha Reddy (Grade 3) and Poorvika (Grade 5) delivered speeches in English and Kannada, respectively, while Grade VI students Pranavi and Yashwanth presented an energetic group dance. Grade VII students, led by Vignesh, also performed a lively dance, followed by Grade VIII students, with Harshita leading a graceful performance.Grade IX students contributed a dynamic dance by Priya and Group, while Grade X students showcase their skills with a mime by Tarun and his group, and a high-energy dance performance by Gagana and Group. The event was smoothly guided by MCs Balasubramani and Gagana (Grade X), and concluded with a vote of thanks by Sudharshan (Grade X).This Diwali celebration successfully brought together students and staff, fostering a deep sense of unity, tradition, and cultural pride. The event was a fitting tribute to the festival, promoting moral values and strengthening the school community.
