Dear Donor,

We are delighted to share our recent events and activities at SUKRUPA. Here's a glimpse of our recent endeavors:

Kanakadasa Jayanthi - 4th  December 2023

SUKRUPA celebrated Kanakadasa Jayanthi on the 4th of December. Started with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a story about Kanakadasa. The songs of Kanakadasa were highlighted and the speeches in three different languages by the students. The celebration concluded with insightful knowledge and the capture of memorable moments. 

Christmas Celebration - 22 December 2023

We celebrated Christmas at our school in a festive atmosphere, decorated with posters, and a crib to mark the birth of Jesus. All the students and faculty members were filled with excitement and enthusiasm for the celebration. The celebration began with a prayer song followed by various cultural programs, indulging group songs, group dances, speeches and skits depicting the life of Jesus Christ. The celebration concluded by creating memories, taking pictures and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024!

Pongal Celebration - 11th January 2024

SUKRUPA School celebrated Pongal on January 11, 2024, with a grand celebration featuring students from pre-school to 10th grade showcasing cultural talents such as music, dance and drama. The vibrant and colorful decorations and traditional attire emphasized unity, gratitude, and the importance of agriculture. The event grabbed attention with a mime act that portrayed the agricultural process, performed by primary school students. The event fostered a joyous atmosphere as students actively participated, and the entire school community contributed to making this event memorable.

Trip to Chitradurga - 17th January 2024

On January 17, 2024, 7th and 9th-grade students from SUKRUPA, along with teachers and coordinators, embarked on an exciting trip to Chitradurga. The day began with enthusiastic students gathering at the admin office and boarding a bus filled with singing and dancing. Breakfast on the bus included jam buns and bananas providing the students with energy for the day ahead.

In Chitradurga, students explored ancient fortresses and sculptures in groups, gaining insights into the region's history, culture, and geography. After a day of exploration, the students gathered together for a meal, reflecting on the day's experiences. The excursion offered a refreshing break from academics but also provided the students with an opportunity to witness firsthand the historical marvels of Chitradurga. It allowed them to broaden their understanding of different cultures and their appreciation for the rich heritage of the country.

Trip to Shravanabelagola -  20th January 2024

On January 24, 2024, Class 8th and 10th students, embarked on a memorable trip to Shravanabelagola. 

The excursion provided opportunities for students to explore historical and cultural significance, including a visit to the prominent Jain pilgrimage site, Gomateshwara. Climbing 782 steps, To keep them hydrated and refreshed, cucumbers were distributed, ensuring their energy levels were maintained throughout the day.

The priest enlightened the students about the story and significance of the 24 Thirthankara. This insightful narration deepened their understanding of the cultural heritage associated with the site. Upon reaching the top, the students were treated to a breathtaking view that left them awe-inspired and captivated. 

The return journey featured stops for a delicious lunch and snacks, blending fun, learning, and the creation of lasting memories. Students eagerly purchased souvenirs, ensuring the Shravanabelagola experience remained etched in their hearts.

National Voters Day - 25th  January 2024

Sukrupa Education Centre conducted an Election Awareness program on National Voters Day, January 25, 2024. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Sushama, Headmistress, joined Class 8, 9, and 10 students, along with teachers and guests Mr. Ramaanjeneya and Mr. Hanumanaik. The program featured speeches by 9th-grade students Gagana and Balasubramaniyam on voting's importance and Fundamental Rights. Mrs. Shilpa explained Polling Day scenarios, followed by 9th-grade students demonstrating Polling Booth actions. Mullaimalar, an 8th-grade student, delivered a speech as an Election Campaigner. Mr. Ramaanjenya explained the Indian Constitution's role in elections, while Mr. Hanumanaik portrayed an Election Candidate. Students engaged with teachers, asking questions, including about NOTA. The program concluded with insightful knowledge and awareness of the election process. 

75th Republic Day Celebrations - 26th January 2024

On January 26th, SUKRUPA celebrated its 75th Republic Day. Our Founder and CEO, Ms. Krupalatha, CAO Sathiaseelan, Co-Founder Suguna and Mrs. Murnalini were the Chief Guests for the day to grace the Occasion. The celebration began with a march and the hoisting of the flag by our Chief Guests. All the students, teachers, and staff paid their respects and tributes to our country. The students performed patriotic songs and speeches. The day concluded with the distribution of sweets & fruits to everyone.

Parichaya - Open Day Open Minds 2024 - INDIA making strides on the Global Map

This event was held at our school buildings from February 15th to 17th, 2024 focused on INDIA making strides on the Global Map, with diverse groups exploring the theme across subjects and interests. The Art and Craft team created props and designed backdrops. Artha Media designed Open Day passes and posters.

Each day featured esteemed chief guests. The preschool, primary, and high school sections showcased performances on 14 various themes - Viz. Pre-Independence, Agriculture, Nobel Prize Winners, Political Leaders, World Peace, Indian Food, Academia, Biofuel, Indian Space, Maths, G20, Kannada Literature, Psychological Changes, Art, Yoga and Sports. They also showcased working models to demonstrate these concepts. While the Math groups explored various applications i.e. calculations/inventions from the Vedic Period till the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), etc.  The sports team displayed insights into various games and the yoga group demonstrated their talents by doing various asanas, and games were arranged for parents and guests (Chess, Carrom, etc)

The presentations from all the groups were outstanding, and the energy brought by the students & teachers throughout the three days was appreciable. Parents and guests thoroughly enjoyed the event, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. The hard work, dedication, and different talent displayed by the students were commendable.

10th grade - Farewell - 19th Feb 2024

On February 19, SUKRUPA School hosted a heartfelt farewell party for the 10th-grade 48 students. Various performances like skits, dance, drama, Mime, customized slogans for the students, etc. were performed by the 9th graders. The event featured captivating performances and reflections by the 10th graders on their Sukrupa journey. Parents expressed gratitude, teachers wished success in exams, and handmade greeting cards were exchanged, symbolizing the bittersweet transition for the graduating students.

Delicious food was served to all the students, staff, and parents at the venue.

Our Trustee Mr. Manu and Advisory Board Member Dr. Anjali  Rtd. Air Commodore wished all the students the best of luck. 

Major Mannivanna IAS officer visit

Major Mannivanna IAS visited SUKRUPA and interacted with the students. Sir appreciated the English communication skills of our students. He observed the good nurturing and learning of the students at SUKRUPA.  He was happy and inspired by the storytelling of SUKRUPA Students by the Founder.  Thus he wanted to collaborate program by the Welfare Department of Karnataka.

 

Ms. Leela - Advisor for the Social Welfare Department - Government of Karnataka Visited SUKRUPA and interacted with the students.

Visit to Constitution of India and National Unity held in Palace Ground

On 24th February 2024, The 24 students and three teachers were honored to be part of the 75th Constitution of India and National Unity held in Palace Ground. The students explored various stalls and had insights into different models and experiments. It was a great learning experience for the students and everyone had a good time.
