The event commenced with the timely arrival of the SG team, who were warmly welcomed by our Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Sathiasheelan. He provided a brief introduction to the school and expressed gratitude for the enduring partnership with SG.

The students were divided into two groups, and each group participated in activities organized in separate spaces. The volunteers had prepared creative coaching techniques on various topics, which were assigned to them beforehand. They covered essential subjects such as communication skills, time management, vocabulary expansion, and demonstrated the significance of verbal and non-verbal communication. Additionally, the students enjoyed participating in games like musical circle and passing the message, incorporating dance and action.

The event also focused on instilling good habits and etiquettes among the students. Each student wrote down the habits they learned and collectively stuck them on a chart, which they were advised to display in their classrooms as a reminder.

Then there was a combined French class, where both groups learned basic greetings, phrases, and numbers. The volunteers went above and beyond to actively engage with the students, ensuring they not only learned but also had a great time. They established personal connections with each student, motivating those who were initially shy to express themselves.

To express appreciation, tokens of love were distributed to the students in the form of chocolates, juice, and water bottles. Before concluding the event, a video presentation showcased SUKRUPA's journey and the various events they have organized. Dubare

7th May to 9th May 2023

From May 7th to May 9th, our team had the opportunity to visit the Dubare Elephant Camp in KushalNagar, Coorg. The purpose of our visit was to conduct a tribal outreach program specifically aimed at the children of mahouts, the traditional elephant caretakers. This initiative, spearheaded by our Founder CEO, Ms. Krupalatha, aimed to provide these children with financial and digital literacy while ensuring they receive a good education.

We were fortunate to receive the support of Forest Officer Dr. Rajkumar, whose cooperation was instrumental in organizing the program. Throughout our stay, we were accommodated at Nisargadhama, which provided a comfortable base for our activities.

On the first day, we had the opportunity to meet the children and their families. We engaged them in fun learning activities and games, providing them with a positive and enjoyable experience. The following day, our office staff had a refreshing outside-the-office workday surrounded by the breathtaking natural environment of the camp. We collaborated on creating a student handbook for the upcoming school year, ensuring that the children have the necessary resources for their education.

On the final day, we conducted an extensive session with the children and their families. Our Founder CEO emphasized the importance of education and encouraged them to pursue learning. We interacted with the children, inquiring about their families, schools, and friends, fostering a sense of connection and support.

To further motivate and empower the children, we provided them with various gifts, including sports equipment such as throwballs, softballs, footballs, cricket sets, skipping ropes, and badminton gear. Additionally, we supplied musical instruments, books, stationery, and art supplies, allowing the children to explore their creative talents.

During our interactions, we identified several challenges faced by the community, including issues related to alcoholism, young mothers, and the lack of education and exposure. Recognizing that education is a crucial tool for breaking these patterns, we emphasized the importance of providing the children with quality education.
