Through our focal persons' teaming with community members change is taking place. Using our organizational skills and professionalism in education and sports children are getting to understand discipline and child rights. Our team promoted a boot camp recently in Tsholotsho. This activity, which took 2 days, combined sporting activities and child rights education. Initially we had to hold a Safeguarding workshop. 6 community based focal persons were involved. Children from various villages that included Tshino, Tshayile and sSawudweni line west Zimbabwe participated. Traditional and contemporary sports saw them take part in games that involved both girls and boys. During lunch breaks the children were informed on their rights. It was indeed a fruitful event. After the activities the feedback from the parents and children who were involved could show how positive the event was. We intend to promote such events on quarterly basis especially during school vacations.
