Mixing sports and learning
By Elvis Ndebele | Founder- CEO
During the first half of the year my organization has been cementing the relationship between education and sports .We do this by creating teams of mixed gender. Children are involved in traditional sporting activities and modern sports. Prior to sports children are involved in vocational, mathematics, English training and child rights education. This is done within the village community centres. These are mentored by well trained village based focal persons. Our reach is currently expanding especially in the Tsholotsho area wards 5 and six. More and more adults and children are showing a greater understanding of our theory of change. We are on track in transforming marginalized and underprivileged rural communities into better living spaces.

Community building through books!
By Elvis Ndebele | Project leader
Currently the organization is currently experiencing an upward mobility. 10 more reading and sporting community centers have been created and promoted in Tsholotsho. Have seen an increase in reading and sporting activities for peace and human rights promotions. 10% of the schools we work with have seen an increase in examination results. An interest in reading and sporting activities has increased by at least 5% .
A lot of work still has to be done in order for us to achieve our main goal of highly literate , non - violent societies is currently getting shape. 2 sporting activities have been created at Jimila and Sawudweni , west Zimbabwe. This had made it possible for more children to partake in contemporary and traditional sporting activities. These are now helping 50% of the vulnerable children stay away from drugs and alcohol.
We continue to persue our goals tirelessly. The emerging results are showing a positive direction.

Expanding our activities to reach more vulnerable
By Elvis Ndebele | Project leader
As we continue promoting change within marginalized and underprivileged rural areas Western Zimbabwe we have been expanding our activities. This has since seen us create and promote more village mini schools , libraries and community centers. In ward 5,6 and Tsholotsho business center these have been very impactful. More children are vnow ready to read , more children are being removed from drug abuse and violence through our sporting activities.
The sporting activities that we have been imparting stresses more on discipline. We also combine girls and boys to create and element of gender equality and respect. These is aimed at them being able to understand each other as they grow into adults. This will reduce such ills as Gender based violence.
We have made available over the past month more than 1500 books. These cover various subjects including child rights, life skills training, basic arithmetic and English. These are to go a long way in making sure that Community Centers impart valuable knowledge for child protection.
Our centers have been impactful . More children now have self-esteem.Many more have improved aacademically. We are working hard teaching self confidence and making the right choices in life.
