Hassan..Dreams Beyond the Tent

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

In a modest tent, Hassan lives with his grandmother and faces significant mobility challenges that make moving around extremely difficult. Yet these circumstances have not stopped him from pursuing his dream of continuing his education.

A few days ago, we shared a video celebrating Hassan's success in his secondary school certificate examinations. In it, he spoke about his educational journey with Masarat and the challenges he overcame to reach this milestone.

His achievement reflects his determination to keep learning despite the difficulties he faces, supported by digital education that allowed him to attend lessons from where he lives, alongside the encouragement and assistance he received throughout his journey.

His story received a warm response from viewers, who saw in his experience an example of perseverance in the face of adversity.

But there is another important part of this story, and you are part of it.

Thanks to your generosity through GlobalGiving, we can provide educational opportunities for students like Hassan, whose physical and living circumstances make access to traditional schooling extremely difficult.

For Hassan, digital lessons were more than a path toward earning a certificate. They offered an opportunity to continue learning, develop his abilities, and look toward a future shaped by ambitions beyond the limits of his surroundings.

Hassan's success reminds us that disability and difficult circumstances do not diminish students' abilities or dreams, and that accessible education can open new possibilities.

At Masarat, we believe every student deserves access to education and that a supportive learning environment adapted to individual needs can help students develop independence, discover their potential, and pursue their goals.

Thank you for being part of Hassan's educational journey and for helping more orphaned students and young people with disabilities continue learning and build the futures they deserve.

Hassan's story is more than an academic achievement. It reminds us that an educational opportunity can change the course of a life.
