Curiosity... The Beginning of the Story

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

Every time one of our students raises a hand to ask “Why?” or “How?”, we feel that something important is happening. A child who asks questions is not simply receiving knowledge—they are beginning to seek it for themselves.

At Masarat, we believe curiosity is an essential part of the learning journey, especially for orphaned children, some of whom may not have someone close to accompany their everyday questions, help them make sense of the world, and explore who they might become.

That is why we want their educational experience to be more than lessons and assignments. We create spaces where students feel that their questions matter and that exploration, experimentation, and discovery are natural parts of learning.

In school education, we encourage interaction and thinking rather than simply receiving information. Through academic guidance, students begin asking questions about themselves: What do I enjoy? Where are my strengths? Which path might suit me? And through student activities and skill-building programs, they have opportunities to experiment and turn small ideas into interests, skills, and larger aspirations.

Curiosity does not give a child every answer, but it gives them the courage to search for one.

When students feel that someone listens to their questions and takes them seriously, they learn something that goes beyond any lesson: their voice matters, their ideas are worth exploring, and there is still a wide world ahead for them to discover.

Thank you for helping us open more than books for our students—you open doors to questions and discovery. Every time a child raises a hand to ask, a new possibility begins.
