When Safety Becomes the Starting Point

By Abdulrazak Madi | Project Leader

In a world where economic challenges and daily pressures continue to grow, a sense of stability can be difficult to find—especially for orphaned children who have experienced loss and uncertainty.

At Masarat, we believe a child needs more than an opportunity to learn. They also need a space where they feel heard, where others believe in their abilities, and where the future still feels full of possibility.

That is why our students’ journey brings together education, psychosocial support, academic guidance, and student activities. Through these different pathways, we help them discover their abilities, express themselves, and build the confidence they need to face challenges and keep moving forward.

We value every step our students take, no matter how small it may seem: participating after hesitation, completing a difficult task after several attempts, gaining clarity about a goal, or simply beginning to look toward the future with greater confidence.

One student captured this impact during a guidance session in words that stayed with us:

“For the first time in my life, someone told me I could succeed… and I stopped being afraid of tomorrow.”

Confidence is not built in a single moment. It grows through every experience that helps a child recognize their own abilities, every person who believes in their potential, and every opportunity that allows them to see themselves differently.

With your support, we can create more of these moments for our orphaned students. Thank you for standing beside them, helping them build confidence in themselves, and look toward the future with greater hope.
