Everyone Deserves an Education

By Rose Hogan | Project Leader

We're so proud of you!
We're so proud of you!

Jambo,

We want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support of our students at Ikirwa School. Your contributions are more than just financial support; they are lifelines that help us provide quality education, essential resources, and a brighter future for our young learners.

In a small, rural setting, every donation has a profound impact. Thanks to your kindness, our students are not only gaining knowledge but also the confidence to dream big and reach their goals. Your commitment to education is transforming lives and uplifting our entire community. Our Class Seven students took their National Exams two weeks ago and have left school to await their results and apply to secondary schools.  To say we are proud of their hardwork and determination would be an understatement.  Their departure leaves a void in our school, but knowing that they were incredible role models to our younger children is such a gift.

Our classrooms are like busy beehives. There’s a continual hum of instruction, questioning and conversations that fill each room. The youngest learners are exploring literature through pictures as the older students challenge each other with knowledge of Tanzanian history or angle measures.  Many of our teachers continue to enhance the curriculum with Youtube videos that can provide the students with video clips that allow them to explore concepts in a more indepth manner. Mr. Cassian, our Science and Math teacher for the upper grades, is currently working virtually with a university student in the United States to learn to teach coding.  His enthusiasm for this endeavor is contagious amongst the student body and many of the students in Class Five beg to participate, as well.  Their desire to learn and their futures are limitless!

Together, we are creating a ripple effect of hope and opportunity. Thank you for believing in our mission and for making a difference in the lives of our students with your generous support.

All the best.
