About African AngelsAfrican Angels Independent School is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty, through providing quality primary school education for some of the most disadvantaged children in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
Our mission is to provide a quality primary school education for children who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
Our vision is to see each child reach their full potential, and grow into fine South African citizens.
The school was established in 2012 and has over 100 learners aged 6 – 14 years.
We provide a well-rounded education; creating an environment that is conducive to learning; supporting our vision that every child reaches their full potential.
Our children live in two nearby townships, and on surrounding farms just outside East London in South Africa’s Eastern Cape. All the children come from circumstances where they experience significant socioeconomic disadvantage. We partner with parents in the education of their child. Our parents are active members of the school community.
“A person is a person because of people.”
