March 2015 Report- Help Educate 1,300 students in Guyana
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you again, our very generous donors, many of whom, have continued to support the project even after the end of the September open challenge.
We continue to make progress towards our goal of improving the educational opportunities for students in Guyana. During the Christmas holidays while the students were out enjoying their Christmas vacations several members of Blossoms of Guyana, travelled from the US to Guyana to deliver the desktops and set up a computer lab for St. Agnes Primary School.
Both Blossoms and the Principal of St. Agnes, Mrs. Singh, were very excited to be able to provide this opportunity to the students. Having a computer lab will grant the students access to a whole new world of learning opportunities as both students and teachers will be able to utilize the vast number of educational programs and teaching tools available via the web. Per the Principal Mrs. Singh, she is very pleased with the computers and the both the students and the teachers are happy with the new computer lab.
Over the course of the year, we will continue to support the school through donation of 600 books to help rebuild the School Library along with providing office equipment and supplies for teachers and administrators.
With the success of the collaboration, we hope to continue working with St. Agnes as well as other Schools throughout Guyana.
Sincerely,
Sharon Bollers and Pansy Browne
