After the devastating passage of Hurricane Otis in Acapulco, Guerrero, the families of the students of Preparatory School #7 and Federal Secondary #1 found themselves in a desperate situation. They lost their homes, their possessions and, in many cases, their incomes sources.
Thanks to the incredible support of 200 generous people, the #EDUCAContigoAcapulco campaign achieved a significant impact. We delivered 200 groceries packages to these families in need.
These packages contained non-perishable food, water, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. Essential elements to help these families recover and rebuild after the storm.
And it is not just a unique and isolated gesture, DriM International donated the transportation and two operators to be able to make one of the two deliveries, Fundación Telefónica joined the donations as well as Pakmail Metepec. Deliveries were carried out in two stages, ensuring continuous support over time. The first round of deliveries took place in early December 2023, followed by another round in early February 2024.
This campaign not only provided material aid, but also sent a powerful message of solidarity and support to these affected educational communities. It showed that when we come together as a community, we can make a real difference in the lives of those around us.
The #EDUCAContigoAcapulco campaign is an inspiring reminder that, together, we can overcome any obstacle and build a brighter future for all.
So, to everyone who contributed to this noble cause, we extend a huge thank you. Let's move forward, extending love and support to the schools, teachers, boys, girls, and young people that we support from Fundación EDUCA México.
