Given the emergency in Acapulco due to the Otis hurricaine we cannot leave the schools and their communities alone. At EDUCA we want to deliver food, water, personal hygiene and cleaning products to the families of the 3,000 students and teachers of #7 High School at Acapulco Guerrero
After Hurricane Otis passed through Acapulco a week ago, the community remains devastated. The population does not have drinking water, electricity, and there is a shortage of food and gasoline. At EDUCA we want to deliver food, water, personal hygiene and cleaning products to the families of the 3,000 students of High School #7 in Acapulco. This school is part of the NETWORK of schools supported by EDUCA.
"We looked for all our students and staff, even on motorcycles. Everyone is fine but without water or food and many with their heritage lost" Karla Beatriz Pina Magana, Principal of the #7 High School. The students and their families will get non-perishable food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and school materials to help them get through this emergency.
This is a project that attempts to support the school community during the urgency derived from a natural disaster like Hurricane Otis. Once basic services are reestablished in Acapulco, from EDUCA, we will design another project to directly support the school and its post-hurricane needs. Stay tunned!
