This project will create eco-friendly visual learning aids for public schools in Zambia, providing comprehensive and interactive learning, and transforming "lighting up" classroom environments in underserved communities. We address challenges caused by the high teacher-to-pupil ratio and underfunded school systems in our country. Join us in creating sustainable models for equitable and quality education for a bright future.
Due to challenges like the teacher-to-pupil ratio standing at an average of 1:80 in public schools, it is difficult for pupils to grasp concepts in class without interactive visual aids (IVAs). There are inadequate learning resources that suit learner's assimilation abilities. The atomistic learning style creates more gaps in the system such as poor grades, unmotivated participants, etc., for learners and educators. This project will create and implement eco-friendly IVAs for Zambian schools.
We establish climate education clubs in schools where these learning aids are created from recycled materials by the pupils, assisted by their subject teachers and artists. Apart from these resources supporting teaching and learning by providing an interactive and comprehensive learning environment, the purpose of our programs is to equip students with additional knowledge and essential green skills to be change agents in their homes and communities.
The project will allow us create and implement a comprehensive climate-education curriculum and sustainable models that benefit underserved schools and help address the high teacher-to-pupil ratio caused by high enrolment rates, so that learners have an equal fighting opportunity that comes with equitable and quality education.
