We grateful to  register the progress  of the Empower Women –Save a community  organization which have been the commitment of the members of Rayland Rural Development  Organization, rural  communities of Iyolwa Sub-county, Local leaders and development partners local and  International.

I want to appreciate the support and involvement of our friend and partner Jaya Canterbury Count the Executive Director of River Fund from Florida USA whose continuous effort has made RARUDO to be what it is today, thanks to our donors through Global Giving have made tremendous changes in the lives of vulnerable women, children persons with disabilities, PLWAS.

The support that we received from the Global Giving through River Fund has:-

  • Enabled our OVC complete their schooling this year, where the majority sat for end year exams.
  • Enabled 98 OVC  from Tororo, 68 OVC  from Busia and  24 OVC  Bugiri  totaling 190 sat for Primary Leaving Examination (PLE)
  • Enabled women in Tororo, Bugiri and Busia grow enough vegetables at their kitchen gardens thus improved livelihoods at grass roots levels.
  • Bugiri women bought and distributed goats to the child headed families.
  • Supported People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWAS) through nutritional support and care.
  • The support allowed room for more young women to enroll for tailoring training.
