Challenge

Displaced people with disabilities are having difficulty caring for themselves in the war displaced persons camp of the M23 terrorists in the territories of Rutshuru and Masisi. Economic support to set up an income-generating activity is necessary to cover their food, clothing and schooling needs for their children.

Solution

This project intends to resolve this problem through the implementation of income-generating activities for disabled people which will enable them to take care of themselves. Providing financial resources to disabled people is considerable support for the start-up of IGAs conducive to their empowerment.

Long-Term Impact

Empower the disabled person to take care of themselves throughout the entire period of their movement in the displaced persons camp, even upon their return to their original environment.
