As part of the project to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs, implemented with the support of GlobalGiving, significant progress has been made since the last report. Five groups of women were selected in collaboration with local authorities, bringing together beneficiaries who were mostly without prior vocational training but highly motivated to develop income-generating activities. Participants received training focused on entrepreneurship, particularly in the agri-food sector (processing, baking, liquid soap production, pineapple juice, and soy cheese). Through a participatory approach and support in the local language, they acquired practical skills in identifying and evaluating business ideas, marketing, and financial management. These methods ensured a good understanding of the content and strong participant engagement. For example, one participant considered starting a business processing local products to support her family. Like her, many women now have a solid foundation to launch or strengthen their economic activities, thus contributing to their empowerment and improving their living conditions. The next phases of the project will focus on supporting these women in the practical implementation of their businesses, particularly through technical assistance and improved access to necessary resources. This progress demonstrates the project's positive impact and reinforces our commitment to sustainably supporting women's entrepreneurship at the local level.
