It's estimated that over 10,000 children in Sierra Leone, Africa were orphaned by the recent Ebola outbreak. Children of the Nations has undertaken to build a Care Center for up to 50 children orphaned by Ebola, where they will be able to heal and grow in a safe environment. COTN has been caring for orphaned children in Sierra Leone for twenty years. With your help we'll be able to reconnect some of these children with relatives and provide holistic care for those who have lost everything.
The recent Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone left over 10,000 children in orphaned in it's wake. Children of the Nations (COTN) is working in tandem with the national government to identify children who are in need of care. The Government in Sierra Leone has already sent us several children, some bearing the scars of having been infected with Ebola and all suffering from the brokeness of having been orphaned.
Children of the Nations has been caring for orphaned children in Sierra Leone for the last 20 years. With your help COTN's in-country staff will be able to accommodate up to 50 children orphaned by Ebola and provide them with the care they need to begin healing while our staff works to reunite children with living relatives. If no relatives can be found for some of the children, they will be welcomed into our existing Children's Homes, where they will continue to receive love and care.
Children of the Nations' mission is 'Raising Children Who Transform Nations'. Over the last 20-years COTN has partnered with nationals in Sierra Leone to raise orphaned and destitute children. Since then many of these children have graduated with degrees from University and begun working in their fields of expertise, impacting the nation of Sierra Leone as experts in Medicine, Political Science, Education, and many other fields.
