Nourishing Young Lives

Reading
The early years of a child’s life lay the foundation for everything that follows. It is a time when children are discovering the world around them, learning through play, developing confidence and building the skills they will carry with them into school and beyond.
That is why our work with 22 Early Childhood Development centres is such an important part of what we do at Love Story.
We support these centres with books, educational resources and creative materials, and we help with classroom repairs and improvements where they’re needed. We’ve also increased the number of daily meals we provide, so children aren’t trying to learn and play on an empty stomach.
A child who is well-fed and cared for in a safe, stimulating environment is free to focus, explore and simply be a child, rather than carrying the weight of hunger or an unstable environment.
That’s the impact we’re working towards. Not just a meal, a book or a classroom repair on its own, but a childhood where a young mind has room to grow and a young body has the nourishment it needs to develop.
LOOKING AHEAD
We’ll continue strengthening the ECD centres we partner with and reaching more children with the meals and resources they need.
Every child deserves the chance to start life on solid ground, well nourished, ready to learn and given the opportunity to grow.
With the right support, that start can become a very different future.
Kind Regards,
Tracey Watson
