Two powerful earthquakes have struck Venezuela, causing widespread destruction and a major humanitarian emergency. Thousands of people are feared dead or injured, and many have lost their homes. Homes, hospitals and public infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed, disrupting essential services. The disaster comes on top of Venezuela's ongoing economic and social crisis, leaving many people especially vulnerable.
Through this project, we provide earthquake-affected families with food, safe drinking water and emergency shelter. We support health facilities with medicines and medical supplies and help ensure access to essential healthcare. In addition, we distribute hygiene items and provide psychosocial support to children and adults affected by the disaster. Together with local partners, we deliver life-saving assistance to the communities most in need.
